Tell us a little bit about your company and how you got started. I started out experimenting with HTML making websites about my passions – my preemie twins (PreemieTwins.com), shoes (ShoeaholicsAnonymous.com), coupons and refunding (ShoppingBookmarks.com). It was all by happenstance that I realized I could get paid to share my passions with affiliate marketing.

How did you fund it? There was no cost to start, as back then I used the free service tripod to host my websites. Now I have costs for domain names and hosting, plus I do advertise.

What has been your biggest business struggle? Before spam, people loved to receive email, and those readers were my main traffic source. Now I have engage my loyal readers to keep coming back as well as optimize my websites for search engines to gain new traffic.

What has been your biggest accomplishment? Besides being interviewed by the media, including ABC News, USA Today and Revenue Magazine, about my professional accomplishments, I am inspired by my readers.  Their kind comments and emails keep me motivated everyday. If I can make at least one person happy every day, I feel successful.

What advice would you give to a new momepreneur? I like to use the quote, "Do what you love, and the money will follow" for as long as you are passionate about your "product", you will succeed.

Family? Single mom of four – Son 18, Twin Girls 15, Daughter 11

If so, how do you balance your family and business? Some days it is not easy! Luckily I can set my own hours so that I am able to carpool and take the kids to doctor appointments, sports practices, etc.  And I am lucky my children are old enough to not need childcare and are old enough to help around the house with cooking and cleaning.

What do you do to de-stress? I like to escape to my whirlpool bathtub.

What is your favorite Café beverage and your favorite mug? I'm not a coffee drinker, but I love hot cocoa with marshmallows!  (I'll get a pic for you tomorrow with my mug)
