This week I wanted to share something that I read that I thought was extremely powerful.

This will be more of Food for Thought: I read if from "Cash Machine for Life", written by Loral Langemeier

"Without my vision, skills, energy, effort and most important persistence ,some product, service, store or company will not exist."

This is something that I think everyone should have written down somewhere, because I know many times especially as women we have those self doubting moments and are our own worst enemies. We forget that we are important and with our minds, thoughts, ideas we could bless someone's else life further than you could have ever imagined on your own. So let this carry you through the rest of your week and when you have that next idea think twice before you pass it off as nothing.

V-Day can be dreadful

I find that the date of February 14th, Valentine’s Day, fills me with dread! A simple holiday, yet not so simple for my brain to process not going overboard or trying so hard to be original. I not only try to think of something besides candy or baking or cards for my husband, but I also try to think of what I can do for my kids to be able to celebrate with them. At times, I just want to say it is a silly holiday where we don’t want to go out to eat and we don’t want to celebrate at all. I know, G for Grinch, right?

As my kids get older though, I find them so excited to know that mommy and daddy are showing that they love and appreciate them in a significant way other than our daily hugs and kisses. In keeping with myself trying to come up with ideas, I wanted to share what I did this last Valentine’s Day and give someone out there the idea that I did. It might help trigger some ideas for you as well! It was a HUGE hit and still is to this day. I found some white small mailboxes at a scrapbooking store(I bought my 2 at Archivers, but they are all over the place) I proceeded to buy stickers and puffy and glittery beads and decorated them both up knowing that my boys would love space stickers and trucks and that my little girl would love butterflies, pink and glitter.

After I decorated the,, I wrote letters out to them and when they came home that day they saw their flags up on their decorated mailboxes and we still do this. They can come home on a long day and find their flags up. How exciting if you could do that with your children, grandchildren, and even your significant other instead of just saying “I love you”? That gift has been one of the best gifts and a wonderful idea. Try it, experiment! I will enclose a couple of pictures so that you can see some examples. Please share if you do it as well your pictures. I need to figure out what I plan to do for this Valentine’s Day and I know something will strike me…as long as you leave your comments and give me some ideas! LOL.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all!
